Huh. I’ll look into this later, thanks! In the meantime, the new Discord is still up and running!

Ah. Well, I guess that explains that.

That sucks :frowning: hopefully there’s a way to bring it back

Good luck with the new forum. Many web hosts are not very friendly towards sexual content so you’ll have to find a server where that’s allowed.

Purpose of replying is to have an opinion! Surely if people don’t want to join it doesn’t make them exempt from being able to comment!! I’ve noticed on here recently that you seem to go out your way to antagonise people, not sure if that is intended as an attack against the site as much as the people on here.

Apologies, it wasn’t meant as such. Although I’m not sure what you mean recently about going out of my way to attack people. If it’s related to that underage thing, let’s not go down that rabbit hole again, please.

It looks like the new site is down anyway in the meantime, so it doesn’t matter anyway.

I appreciate your well wishes, @Q. Proboards has a butt ton of fetish forums though, so I really don’t know what they were thinking.

I don’t think their right to post is in dispute, only the justifiedness of using that right in this particular case.

I agree with some of the intent behind the new forum (however to pick something in the contrary, I like the name “BFForums”. It carries the meaning if you’re in the know, content creators can be notified about it’s existence, but if someone were to see your browsing history or the site itself in the browser (heaven forbid), it carries a last line of defence in terms of privacy. For all someone would know if you aren’t actually logged in, it might be “The best friends forever!!! forum”. I enforce this discipline by only going here on private browsing mode, but every little helps). But I think the ToS of Pro Boards does mention that they don’t want adult content, which fetish material would fall under the umbrella of. Let me cite it so I can fact check what I say:

"18. OBJECTIONABLE CONTENT

You represent and warrant that you shall not use the Website or Services to upload, post, transmit, display, perform or distribute any content, information or materials that: (a) are libelous, defamatory, abusive, or threatening, excessively violent, harassing, obscene, lewd, lascivious, filthy, or pornographic;"

So again, fetish material may fall under the category of those lust-based elements, and that’s why I’m surprised, @anon6649 that you say Pro Boards has lots of fetish forums. Somethng doesn’t quite compute there. This may also be of use:

https://support.proboards.com/thread/656895/section-25-proboards-terms-service

Otherwise the admins of this spinoff forum would have to find a forum software provider which is explicitly fetish-friendly for those who would want such a forum.

Interesting. I didn’t bother to check this because all of the fetish communities on there lead me to believe they didn’t care.

To be honest, seen as @Frank1 and @thegasprovider are basically the life blood of this forum, I’ll be going where they go…

So gents… let me know what you plan to do, please! <3

Those 2 are heavy contributors in the male section.

I don’t know who that is, sorry.

Honestly I haven’t really liked the format of the new forum since it was made. I also really don’t like how there are a million one-burp threads or threads with literally nothing in them. I wish this forum was organized better like the last one was. This has lead to me not really posting a lot on this new forum even though I was pretty active on the old one.

But in no way do I think any of the problems on this forum are due to the moderators. As far as I know they are all good people and are trying their best to keep the forums clean. Sometimes there are slip-ups, but they’re only human.

I think they’re generally okay people, but I think there are things they can do better, and I also think that by creating a forum of this nature you incur certain obligations. I also think some of these things should have been done a while ago.

In any case, given that my own attempts to start a forum exploded, I really, really suggest that the mods look at the policies I have suggested and seriously consider implementing them.

Same!!! I loved the old one. I wish I created an account before it went down but luckily thanks to the Wayback machine, I can still browse the posts on there.

Well I never go there so I’m not really bothered about what he chooses to do

One of my biggest gripes has been the discourse interface… I can’t tell you how many threads have either mysteriously disappeared, private messages have been made public or messages not sent at all. It is probably my fault but the way the threading is set up is very confusing… Also the anti-spam is annoying too forcing me to change messages I am sending to a few people because words repeat.

Huh? I guess I never even noticed a lot of those things. At first I also had some problems adjusting to the new board but there are actually some cool features. You can even limit the sections displayed to you and automatically hide threads in the overview by tags. So I only see the female section and some general stuff, no male section and no posts tagged with farting lol That’s definitely a cool feature I don’t want to miss anymore.
