Advice for Future/New Sellers as a Consumer

This thread is for any future sellers, or new ones. As someone interested in business it hurts to see so many poor business models that I know won’t get off the ground. Anyone who has anything to add on can reply. I’m going to be very blunt.

  1. Sex work is hard. Hopefully since you have to be an adult to do it you already know this, but there are many who still think they’ll start up an OF and be in the top 0.1% within a few weeks and be living in a condo. A lot of people on here do not want to pay for your of, as it’s monthly and you can get exactly what content you want on clips4sale and manyvids. If you don’t have patience, don’t even bother with this fetish. A lot of tiktokers are guilty of this, trying to make a quick buck and not honoring their commitment. It’s not easy.

  2. Don’t shove your service down our throats. No one likes being spammed. Put some free stuff out there, most likely on TikTok, and set up your paid store. There is zero need to constantly spam threads, or even worse create new ones everytime you have new content. This turns us off as consumers. You have to realize you’re targeting the minority in here who actually are willing to pay for content. You have to cater to them.

  3. Know your ability. To be blunt, some people on here just aren’t good at burping. Or just are not attractive to the masses. I’m sorry, but you will not be successful here. Even though beauty is subjective, there’s a fine line between attractive to the masses and unattractive. Let’s not play dumb here. The only way you can get away with this is if you make up for your weakness in another area. For example: generally unattractive, but extreme burping talent. Or, mediocre burping talent but very attractive. The market is cutthroat, sorry.

  4. Build your brand + consistency. To make actual money, you must have a brand to rely on. Some of the most popular include: lusted after old YouTubers (Olivia Gratts prime example,) or one off videos/ infamous videos in the community. This community is ridden with scammers selling, so with no credibility why should anyone give their money to you? Think about it from the customers perspective. A great example of both is Bricollete. She is one of the most annoying, unfunny creators I have ever encountered to the point I can’t even watch her without going soft. But she makes bank because of her several viral videos and signature burp strategy. She’s a genius. That plays into the second thing: consistency. Everyone has personal lives, but burp obsessed weirdos on here a lot of the time don’t get that. You must be very clear about content, breaks, lives, etc. to maximize interaction and profit.

I think this is a pretty good start, everyone’s input is appreciated and I’m sorry for the wall of text. But hopefully this can clean up the community a little bit

Other things that don’t need explanation to avoid:
Being rude to your customers.

Being generally annoying whether that be trying way too hard to be funny or just spamming.

Whining about a lack of business/entitlement.

Lack of communication with your own fans.

Sketchy payment method.

NOT. SHOWING. YOUR. FACE. Good lord. If you are going to sell burping content on here and do not show your face, you are wasting the time of every party involved.

I also know some may disagree with some of my points so let me clarify: there are markets for some of the people I critiqued. If you aren’t that good at burping, maybe become a findom or something. That’s about the person and not their skill. If you don’t want to show your face idk find some weird niche community on Twitter that’s into that. But this is for the general community. I’m confident my assessment is pretty spot on. Thank you for your time and don’t be shy to engage in discussion

You’ve got some great advice in general. The mask thing is contentious, the people who “schism’d” off and tried to make a new Discord and forum (to varying degrees of success) believe that to assert “show your face or else” is to be insensitive because for whatever reason they don’t feel comfortable doing that. Maybe they have a point, and I enjoyed being subscribed to TheBelchingWitch/Fauna for a time even though she she never shows her face (because her belches are just that good and even if she didn’t show skin, her body was clearly killer too). But in general I agree with you because I would rather see the faces of burpers.

As for this line I have to pick it apart a bit:

A lot of people on here do not want to pay for your OF, as it’s monthly and you can get exactly what content you want on Clips4Sale and ManyVids.

I would argue that the burp fetish scene and just fetish/porn scenes in general are drifting away from favouring these legacy stores, over to fan platforms. If I have a budget of $30 for burp fetish content a month and I can use that (let’s neglect sales tax here) either a) for three videos at $10 each from a store or b) 4-6 (maybe more, maybe less) OnlyFans subscriptions (and I can cut them off before rebill if I feel the models aren’t prolific enough or their output has been declining in some other way or I just can’t afford it for this coming month) what do you think gets me more fap per buck? Legacy stores have other downsides, some burpers are very inconsistent and if I’m burning $10 for a video shot on their offday, I’d rather have spent that on two OF models which had an off week but the other three of the month were on-weeks. Also the store era has been established to be a crapshoot where you didn’t know what you were getting yourself in for unless someone else could vouch for exactly what kind of burps and ideas they were bringing, or unless they gave a preview which actually showcased the typical caliber of belch and said ideas. There’s still that to an extent in the era of fan profiles but savvy creators work around this, some have free profiles in tandem with their paid ones, some advertise samples directly here on the platform, others have TikToks showing their skills, etc.

On OF and other subscription platforms there are also discrete ways to record or download the videos which is fine (so long as you don’t pirate the material), just like backing up a copy of the video game or movie you paid for if you had and knew the means. One thing I would encourage aspiring creators to do is to figure out margins. I would suggest maybe one store and one subscription platform. Why just one of each? Well, if MV takes a 30% cut of your sale and C4S takes a 40% cut (disclaimer: just a guess, but I do know they are different cuts), MV would appear to be better, that is unless C4S has some unique features which make it more appealing to you and your fans. So if you price the same video on two store platforms, one will come out the winner for your take-home pay… meaning there’s no real point in your having a store for both. Same with OF vs a competitor subscription service. So research pays when you are starting this up.

If I were a model wanting to start up I’d find some way of ensuring I made a similar profit between the store and the sub platform. You know? Assuming no paywalled videos on the OF feed (nor via PM), then if I make 4 videos a month for the store at $5 each and also put them on OF, then the subscription cost would have to be $20 a month to balance out. That’s a simplistic breakdown, you’d have to figure out sales tax and the cut the service takes, and you’d want to scale it up a lot to make more profit, but it gives you a baseline idea of what to do. Scaling up would be easiest with a spreadsheet and some basic calculations. Now if you don’t have it balance out like that, well then one or the other platforms will just be undercutting the other, right? If the OF gets $100 a month in profit but the C4S store gets $200 because of your pricing, then people will just want to subscribe to the OF instead… undercutting your profits. Maybe over time you will see that the sub platform is just dwarfing the store for profits, so you could switch all your efforts to that. In line with my theory that the scene is transitioning in general to that.

Also you will need to figure out your income tax payable during tax season which is another issue with self employed work in general. Keep ALL the receipts and hire someone to help with accounting if you need that. Maybe some veteran models can give further advice there.

I never took business management classes but I feel like it’s sound advice!

For the no-face, idk.

I recently started selling vids as a side hustle, and I do not show my face. I’ve input a pretty low amount of effort (I have a full time job, so I can’t dedicate time to this), but have enjoyed pretty strong business all that considered. I don’t advertise much, just occasionally post free clips on my story, and when I’ve got new content, I post that in my story.

Fetishists are in it for the sound. Attractiveness, face, that’s all really important for a lot of people, but there are plenty that will take your content regardless if the belching is good.

Also, I have drastically lower prices than competitors because I don’t show face. They’re selling single belch clips for $5-10 bucks. Someone tight on cash doesn’t want to spend that for short-lived entertainment.

But anyway, I guess that’s a different tier of business as it’s basically just a side hustle and not a career.

TLDR; I see your points and agree, but want to stress that these stars don’t need to align to make money if you’re ok with making less than the top 1%. If you never intend to be those guys, you’ve got nothing to lose.

I agree with everything other than the no-face thing.

There are a few successful content creators who started making videos without showing their face or didn’t show their face at all in the videos they were selling.

Just to name a few: Rouge, Perfect Pretty Circles, BigBurps_Girl, Fauna

And it’s entirely understandable, since the videos they make will still be around long after they retire and not everyone is fine with having their image associated with the fetish for the rest of their life.

Some just want to try it out and see if it works for them without being fully committed and I feel like we’d be missing out on a lot of great content if we outright say that it’s impossible for people who don’t show their face to be successful.

The “drawback” is that most models who don’t show their face compensate by showing more of their body and all of them have S tier burps, so without these it would probably be pretty hard to get a business going.
