The main reason I don’t feel “normal” is not just because I have this fetish, but because I find ordinary porn kind of repulsive. Like, I just went on pornhub RN, and nothing there really catches my eye at all. The girls don’t even seem hot for some reason, like, I wouldn’t even find them all that intriguing in fetish porn. A lot of vaginas on the front page, and idk, I don’t really like having a random pussy shoved in my face, especially if there are liquids in or around.

A lot of really unrealistically (I’m assuming) erect penises too, which just kinda makes me feel inadequate, like “if this guy can get so hard for this girl why can’t I”, and then I’m not horny at all. I know that’s a dumb thought, and these guys are pretty much always on viagra or something else, just can’t help thinking that. Plus, porn penises don’t do much for me for some reason, even tho I definitely like erect penises at times…

A lot of ass too, like a lot of ass. And tits. And sure they’re big or round or whatever, but just… nothing. All of these videos look boring or downright unappealing.

Also a lot of blowjob videos, and that just does absolutely nothing for me, visually or in real life. This take makes me feel really strange, cuz it sounds like everyone I’ve ever met thinks blowjobs are just the best thing ever but they’re really just “meh” for me. I never feel anything “good” happening down there, and because of that it just becomes a game of “how long can I stay fluffed for her to feel like she’s doing something.”

It’s really strange because I mean, all of these things definitely turn me on in the right context, but… nothing on the front page of pornhub that’s for sure, and almost definitely nothing in the videos. It all just seems kinda grotesque. Do normal people open up the front page and get aroused?

EDIT: One thing I noticed just now is that “candid” stuff seems to be more exciting to me. Maybe it’s the “hollywood” style porn that turns me off? All those cinematic porn gimmicks like super gorgeous people, perfect lighting and makeup, “perfect” bodies, it just seems like they’re not actually horny at all, and I can’t get behind that lol. Even then, it’s really hit or miss with “amateur” stuff, but still thought I’d include the detail.

Yeah I agree, I’ve never really got the appeal of porn. It’s always disgusted me and even before I even knew I had the fetish I knew regular porn was never for me. Like you said its just excessive nudity and its just disgusting to look at. I’d rather just watch a regular burp video and get more turned on over a regular porn video.

I feel like the super extreme stuff (which is what is mostly on porn websites) is not appealing at all, but regular sex videos where it’s just two people making love like there isn’t a camera recording them is still appealing to me

I totally agree with everything you said, porn kinda disgusts me ever since I was a teen. Many times I’ve had to avoid the topic entirely with my friends so they wouldn’t think I dislike it, which is supposedly weird

Most commercially made stuff looks way too fake to the point it feels like you’re looking at mannequins. Porn that contains burping isn’t much different honestly. The videos are all extremely filtered. Outside of porn too, I don’t watch many Twitch streamers because they’re all wearing heavy makeup, loads of filters and a fake persona and it’s all rather uncanny and annoying to watch. And then if you go to TikTok, most of them use filters that completely warp the shape of their face.

Psychologically it’s kind of interesting. Does it feel that good to receive attention for something that’s not really you? People usually claim to want someone that appreciates them for who they are, but then they never show their true selves in the first place (at least in regards to how they display themselves digitally)

I hope that there’s some backlash against how extremely fake everything is at the moment.

As an asexual, “normal” porn does absolutely nothing to me. Most of the time it actually grosses me out. Maybe I don’t have much experience with IRL women but just seeing someone completely naked does nothing to me, let alone watching 2 people have sex.

I feel the same way. I’ve seen boobs, vaginas, butts, dicks, the whole nine yards… none of it appeals to me in porn, at all. Some of the porn my friends have suggested- the normie friends, that is- all just feels too fake for me to enjoy. I get that it has to be fake to some degree, but there’s a line between just the right amount of acting and absolutely hamming it up, and so far, all of the porn I’ve tried to watch just fails to entice and arouse in any way.

And it doesn’t necessarily have to be that way because of this fetish. For me, I just don’t like watching other people have sexual relations. It feels weird. And I dislike strangers bearing all for me: if I wanted someone to show off what their momma gave them, I’d prefer it be someone that I love, so I can genuinely give them compliments on their figure.

So I wouldn’t worry about the belching fetish being the cause of you not liking “normal” porn. There are a number of reasons that could be the cause. Just continue to enjoy what you enjoy.

As a counterpoint from someone into vanilla porn, I feel if I went all in on either it or just burping fetish material, I’d burn out on that category. I need a mix, even if it feels unevenly slanted at times towards one or the other, to create a varied sexual diet. I love both, even if some producers/directors in either genre can put me off (e.g. Joey Silvera’s colour palette is gross and sleazy, and nowadays all he puts out is trans “chicks with dicks” porn which is fundamentally unappealing to me).

I agree, having it being vanilla is way better than all the acting and fake shit that they have going on nowadays. Kind of rounding what I said before, it needs to feel like it’s two people making love rather than them making content for me to enjoy it personally. And I also 100% agree all these filters and make up that (more specifically girls) wear, makes it way worse. I’ve always been more into a natural or very light make up look so having either heavy make up or a filter on is almost a turn off. I’ll give an example, girls that wear lipstick and they burp, I almost cannot watch because I just have a big hate for lipstick, no matter the color

I think I’m just taking sand to the beach at this point, but I completely identify with everything you have put, specially about feeling more attracted to “candid” stuff.

I have identified as demisexual for some years now (which is an identity in the ace spectrum), and I have never used porn to get off before. I have realized that my sexuality comes almost exclusively from the fetish and, most of the time, in that “candid” environment you have mentioned. I have used videos of naked guys burping/farting to masturbate in the past, or guys showing their asshole, but it’s either my last resource or only when it sounds so hot that the visual’s role start being reduced.

I think there is this very nearly-invisible social expectation of us to desire sex and all of that, where if we don’t comply with it even a little bit we start feeling weird about ourselves, when there’s absolutely nothing wrong about not wanting to have sex and/or not enjoying to watch “regular” pornography.

And it’s not weird to desire sex but not what’s on the front page of PornHub, because sometimes you just feel the desire towards who you are connected to somehow. Like, sometimes I’m watching a movie and if I’m really invested on the character and they have sex, I might get turned on to it.

Hopefully that is some more food for thought somehow :slight_smile:

This is interesting to read everyone’s comments. My comment isn’t directly on point but I wanted to add it to the mix and see if anyone else can relate.

So I have never been into vanilla porn except for right around puberty. But I do love actual sex with females. I guess I am a hybrid where I can have sex with women I find sexy but I can also get off to burping. Usually the orgasms are stronger when they are fetish induced. But the act of watching regular sex does zero for me.

I think part of what has helped me be a good sexual partner in terms of endurance is that burping is the only thing that brings me to climax extremely quickly. So when I’m physically with someone, I can last a while because the feeling isn’t as powerful, but I definitely still enjoy the sex. The burping fetish is actually the reason why so many females have basically said “wow, you can last longer than me!” Haha

If I was ever with a female who knew about my fetish and indulged me during sex, it would be all over hahaha. I am still hoping for that experience before I leave this planet :wink: I just hope the girl is okay with it being one sided.
