Hi guys,
After various attempts to archive the old site, we’ve come to the conclusion that it’s too difficult with phpBB. More modern software makes archiving easier, but phpBB has no built-in option so one is forced to use third-party scripts.
There was plenty of notice that the site would be going away, so I hope you all took the time to save any links, stories, PMs, etc. that you deemed important.

We’ll miss it. That site had some good memories, but the fetish community is still here. 
Here I come to (maybe) save the day! 
I was clinging on to the legacy forum until the day it shut down. I haven’t been to this new one for weeks and I was unaware of this topic. However I think I disagree with Umbris: I believe the archives I’ve made of the legacy site will be perfectly adequate and according to the log files generated by the Linux script, they should also be very comprehensive. That said, I haven’t tested it yet, but now that I’ve seen we’ve fully moved over to the new site, it’s time to do that. I think my last grab of the legacy was “only” on Thursday but there should only have been a few minor posts that were lost to me on Friday. That has to be a 99.9% hit rate then!
I will do testing this weekend, come up with a tutorial for how to view the legacy forum and find a way to host it. I will probably just do a MEGA upload (with an account only for that purpose) but if that proves problematic (perhaps the size of the archive will mean others need MEGA accounts to download it, and they may not want to do that) then we can look at other drive/filehoster solutions. Any suggestions? I will be back in touch soon 
EDIT: I’ve just seen that someone made an archive on the 21st of September on the Way Back Machine. This is nice, but my backup is nearly a month more current, and will also be accessible offline, whereas you need to be online to get to WBM (also, I can’t vouch for the notion that the WBM backup has all the posts from before 21st of September i.e. it may not be comprehensive. Mine is). Therefore, mine will be superior

Hi, a bit late to note but with some of my archivist friends we saved the entire site (everything viewable without logging in). go to web.archive.org and type in the forum url. it was saved in early october i think. there are links to web archive files of everything (Job a4b42 - ArchiveBot Viewer) if you use a warc viewer (like webrecorder desktop). be warned though the whole site is huge (about 5gb per part in that last link)

Oh man.
So I totally missed out on you guys going to do this. I just didn’t pay attention. I typically go in and out looking for stuff and posting things without really reading the site news. Ever since I got into Discord, I talked more to people there. I just logged in one day to realize the site was gone. Friends of mine who hadn’t logged on in a while were left in the dark as well. It was only through a burp fetish model I started talking to on Instagram that I finally found out what happened and got the link today.
I was hoping there would be a way to save PMs. I had some really great stuff in there. Unfortunately, I now read that this can’t be done? So are PMs just. . . gone? Completely irretrievable? Augh. That sucks so much. I’ve been having a heck of a hard time lately especially since I lost a flash drive IRL with fetish stuff on it. Now to realize that great PMs I had on the site are gone too. It’s like going back to square one all over again. Augh.
Yes, PMs are gone because the account which was used to host the old site has been cancelled. You won’t be able to log in to any of the archives that have been made, because the PHP server isn’t running anymore. A lot of warning was given but I understand how disappointed you are.
I hope you do enjoy the new site and the content that’s being shared. 
Hate to bump this for something so trivial but for the archive it says the last capture was done on October 6th and if you go to that date none of the links show up without the ‘this page has not been archived, but is available on the web’ message. I know a few people were working on a more up to date version that would capture the last couple days of the site, (talked with pu_sh_it about it and he said he was working out a few things to get that ready, but I guess he never got around to it as he is usually pretty busy) I’m not really sad about not having the content from that last month and some change cause I saved most of what I planned on keeping, it’d just be nice to be able to stroll most of the way down memory lane.
Still working on it… I haven’t had a day off in weeks but we’ll see what I can put together in my few hours off a day. Sorry for keeping everyone waiting.
