See to me, this is a wasted burp. You can obviously tell how spectacular it would have sounded if it wasn’t suppressed from within. I’m not even sure a closed mouth “belch” qualifies as a proper belch to begin with, it will never beat a full-on open mouth blast.

I love them. I think especially as I get older, it is maybe an adaptation to the fact that it’s less acceptable to burp out loud. But there is something amazing about a deep, rumbly closed mouth burp that makes one’s cheeks puff out and looks difficult to contain.
