I think it’s probably because it reminds me of farts, plus, I don’t really care if someone is naturally burpy or not, only if they know how to do it at will. But we’ve had enough of the on command vs natural recently, so let’s not get too much into that lol.
Something about that word is a complete turn off to me. The mere use of that word can make a video or story less appealing. I was wondering if anyone else here shared the same distaste for that word.
Yeah, no. It’s a turn-on, and again it does tie into the fact that I prefer natural. 
And I don’t hate farts so maybe that’s a plus.
I understand for sure. I do like the word gassy, but I hate farts a lot. If there’s a video with burps AND farts, I won’t watch it. I even blocked Zumbie on tiktok because of her instant fart videos 
Lool. One of the reasons I barely use TikTok anymore is because the more I blocked fart vids, the more they popped in my “for you” page. There was a time when I really wanted to try and block burp videos just to see if more start showing.
The smoke only really bothers me when they add it to real people.
I don’t hate it in animation, but then again, I don’t know the percentage of people here who even care for animated media in the first place. It’s probably not too high.
Hmmm…I do think the word gas/gassy is hot to hear in reference to a burp but that’s coming from a guy who likes the smell aspect and also has a fart fetish so I guess that might have something to do with it now that you mention this.
I also hate it because it makes me think of farts. I use “burpy.” Sometimes “gas” can’t be avoided because it is scientifically true, but “gassy” has a connotation of flatulence.
Not getting into the whole natural vs on command thing but I do think it’s intrinsically tied to that. Me for instance I like the word gassy, I also love a natural burper in other words I like naturally gassy women, I think because you prefer on command that connection isn’t made in your mind.
I hate this solely for the reason that there have been incredible burpers that tagged their video with “gas” and not “burp” and went unnoticed for years… 
Yeah, I guess you can’t really ignore that as an important factor.
