Has anyone ever noticed how an empty stomach can produce some really good burps? I’ve definitely observed this for myself - especially first thing in the morning or when I’m hungry and haven’t eaten anything for several hours.
For example, I woke up this morning and sat up to check my phone. I could feel all the air and stomach acid that had built up during the night shifting inside me, just underneath my ribs. I changed my body position slightly, which was all it took for me to let out a nice big burp that lasted for at least three seconds. I did a few more smaller ones after that - it goes to show that you can get really windy without eating or drinking a thing!
I’m not entirely sure what’s responsible for this, but it’s probably connected to all the digestive processes that happen whilst sleeping. Does anybody else have any theories? Has anybody else experienced this?
When I practice burping it is always on an empty stomach. I can pack way more air in and push it out with much more force. It makes sense as there is there nothing else in your stomach to obstruct the air… it’s a much cleaner flow.
I used to think that I got the best burps out of an empty stomach, but it turned out at for me at least it’s after I’ve eaten. Not eating to a point where I’m stuffed, but a small amount. I feel like it gives it more power.
