Has anybody ever found out about your fetish?? (I know that Omnious’ video collection was found a little while ago, but I thought that this could be a new topic).
Over this last summer I was camping with my sister and our family. I was DEFINITELY in a burp fetish kick (it comes and goes, but when it comes, I immerse myself with the fetish haha). So every night I would put in my headphones and visit the old site and watch burping videos. One day my sister and I were sitting by the fire. I remember talking about Emma Chamberlain’s new plum merch and went on my phone to pull up a picture… only I never closed out my tab (and I never completely closed the safari app) from the night before. Right when I clicked on safari the burp fetish forum page showed up. My heart was racing and my cheeks went flush, I was SO embarrassed. In the moment I just pretended that it didn’t even happen (despite her watching my phone the whole time) and continued to pull up the merch. For at least an hour after that we just sat by the fire, mostly silent but sometimes chatting about a thing here and there. My anxiety was through the roof, but I finally asked her to go on a walk so that I could clear things up. I didn’t have the courage to tell her the truth so I told her I was confused. Luckily I had a good excuse (actually thought I was asexual for a while, so I just said I was struggling with that), but that was definitely one of the most embarrassing and toughest conversations of my life. I think she bought the lie but sometimes I wonder…
I’ve told people and my brother did technically find out because I used to joke with a friend about how good her burps were on Facebook messenger (she kinda knew that I found her skill at burping on command impressive and hilarious because back then in 8th and 9th grade burps didn’t really turn me on, I was just kinda impressed) and my brother needed to use my Ipad for something and unlocked it while the messages were open, he teased me like twice over the next hour and said he was gonna call me ‘mister burp’ for the rest of our lives but he stopped talking about it as soon as we saw each other when we first got home the next day and hasn’t brought it up once in 8 years. I knew he’d forget about by the end of that week. if not earlier, anyway
Told a close female friend of mine recently and we joke about it constantly, she has a very mild case of lactose intolerance and I offer her frappuccinos and milkshakes every now and then.
As far as I know, no one I know IRL knows I have this fetish. But one time, I had a pretty close call assuming I wasn’t caught.
When I was in college, I was watching burp videos on my laptop privately in my dorm before class. But I made one small, but fatal mistake… I forgot to close the window before I went to class.
So when i get to class, my friend/project partner sits next to me and asks me about the project we were working on. So I open up my laptop to show him my work, with my friend closely watching my screen, and… Oh shit oh shit oh shit I didn’t close the burp forum tab. Luckily, the Burp Fetish Forums tab was not the tab the browser was currently on, so it wasn’t a complete giveaway. But after opening my laptop I nonchalantly hovered over the tab to close it without saying anything.
I’m not sure if he was able to read the tab and thus find out about the fetish, but it still kinda haunts me to this day. I imagine him telling the other people in my group about the tab he saw on my screen, and laughing about it… If he did notice and tell anyone, I wonder if any of my friends today secretly know about me having this fetish. In actuality, I believe everyone has some weird sex/fetish thing in their life, so people probably aren’t as weirded out by it as we assume.
Regardless it’s really nice that the new forum doesn’t say “Burp Fetish Forums” in a huge font. It can really save your ass if you forget to close the window like I did.
That must’ve been awkward. I have automatic notifications turned off for YouTube (not for fear of somebody finding burping stuff but just because it’s the app I use the most and getting notifications throughout the night would annoy me as i already deal with insomnia) and I get instagram notifications constantly throughout the night from one of my friends who’s a popular comedian and post a lot of black nerd videos. which I just disabled before I finished writing this .
Oh man. That’s scary lol. I felt that exact same thing before. Once I told the first person, I feel like they would never want to talk to me again or something. It seems silly now that I think about it but that’s how I felt.
Turns out, the very next day, she teased me about it saying something like “…so do you like the bubbly ones or the loud ones?” While we were walking down the street.
All of my friends know at this point and they just think it’s funny making me so flustered with such an innocent seeming action. My friends constantly tell me about burps they wish I could have heard or are burping at me when I least expect it now.
So what Id say is try not to worry so much about people knowing. There are way more dangerous and harmful things to be into out there than burping.

More on topic though, one time my brother asked to use my phone for Facebook or something and he called me back into the room and told me he doesn’t know how to get to the site. When I took the phone from him I saw that the last page that was open was the old forum so he definitely saw it and decided to get me to take the phone back by pretending he didn’t know how to find Facebook…my life was over lol.
That’s generally been my experience too. It just doesn’t register as an important thing for them to the point that a lot of people forget entirely what I told them. ‘What was it you like, growling or something?’
I told one of my friends s few years ago and she’s chill about it. She doesn’t really bring it up.
I told my current girlfriend and she was too. She’s like the least judgmental person I’ve ever met and she was completely okay with it. However when I told her I had to google the definition for “eructophilia” because I have issues with saying the word burp out loud.
The scariest experience however happened when I was ten or eleven. Back then I didn’t really realize that I had a sexual fetish for burping I just knew I enjoyed it and that I felt I should be embarrassed about it. So I was watching burp videos on my iPad and my mom asked what I was doing. I panicked and she got suspicious so I showed her but I made up a lie about how I just thought burping was funny. I’m not sure if she believed me or if she even remembers but that scared the ever loving shit out of me.
I’m 17 now and i live with my parents (sorry if my english is not perfect im a german). Like for 5-6 years my parents go for the first time alone in the vacation and my brother and me was alone with my Grandpa at home. We both had no own smartphone or tablet at this time so we used my dads Ipad for Youtube and Internet. I used the safari browser to search about burp contest, burping very often, because I didn’t know how to delete a history at the time, I had watched several 100 videos during this period and they were all in the history. After my parents came back form the vacation my das looks at his ipad and saw the search history. He was very confused because i search that so man time. That was realy awkward for me…
Another story,
a good friend of mine almost found out my burping fetish once when we chilled in my room. I turned on my pc and for some reason a burping video was still running in the background. I said that my brother was on my Pc and did a prank.
Today:
I Think that my dad find out that i had this fetish. Because for about 2 months I left my smartphone with on screen in the kitchen and my father could read that I was in a burping group. I also have a smartwatch and forgot to take it yesterday upstairs at the dining table. Have the guess that my father read all the burp messages that appeared as a message on my watch.
