I’m trying to learn how to burp on command using the inhale method, but I feel like my body won’t let me intake air into my stomach. I’m thinking there’s some sort of muscle memory I need to develop. Is there a way to train my body how to do this?
I learned how to burp from 0, not being able to since I was a baby, and this is how I learned it, totally by accident while trying to learn to burp PERIOD:
- Push your chin forward, and let that “click” happen
- You’ll likely have air rush into your esophagus, but if not, inhale slightly
- Push air back out
- Burp
- Profit
I can elaborate if needed
Lol can you elaborate. What exactly do you mean by push chin forward until there’s a “click?”
Basically, keep your head straight, and push your chin and neck forward while keeping it perpendicular with your chest. You should feel a muscle open up, like when you burp normally, like just kind of a “click” in your throat. Air will sort of rush in automatically, and you then just sort of burp.
So I’ve been trying and I see what you mean. I definitely feel the click and notice my throat opening up a bit when pushing my chin/neck forward. However, I still can’t seem to suck in air to my stomach. Is there another step to learn once you get your throat to open up?
You honestly don’t even need to get it into your “stomach”, just let the air rush in and push it back out. I may try to upload a video demonstrating, since a lot of people seem so curious about how it works!
