I’m looking to learn the inhale method to burp on command, but I can’t find any online videos about it. I’ve seen a couple of people discuss it in previous posts, but it’s overall quite difficult to understand. Can someone please describe how to do it in detail? Or possibly explain what the “click” is supposed to be?
The “click” sort of feels like if you took your tongue to the roof of your mouth and “popped” it off. It should feel like a sudden muscle movement if your throat, “popping open”. If you just push your chin forward while keeping your throat relaxed, this should happen :)
If you are able to burp in general, try to find the point (the location), in your throat, where you feel the burp. Focus on it.
That’s where the click (basically a reverse burp) happens.
(If you open it up, while burping, thus enlarging the resonance body, the burps get deeper)
so short answer: it’s a reverse burp
I can’t figure it out for the life of me. Gulping is not only easy to me.. but it’s also easy to explain. But I’m right here with you trying to find out how people actually in hell. When I inhale, all I do is breathe LOL
The mental image of that is hilarious xD “Damn it, I breathed! Not again!”
hehe
You guys mean like this? Hehe
Yes..Exactly like that
I’m gonna try to explain this best i can. I taught myself burping on command from skill level 0, I’m nowhere near the level i want to be but i get by. If you know how to burp using the gulp technique, try to feel the position of your throat and the muscles you use when you force the air down your throat (the barrier between your mouth and throat). Then try to hold that ‘position’ and do what i can only describe as a very long and forceful hiccup without closing up your throat. you should feel the air go down your throat if done correctly. ask away if i can make it more clear.

Holy shit, putting my tongue on the roof of my mouth was a gamechanger! My burps are still better gulping but it’s a little easier to inhale now. I’m still doing something wrong though because the inhale sounds like eeep eeep eeep eeep eeep instead of the roaring, rattling growl. But it’s less bloaty this way also!
Yeah, you’re basically not letting the air reach the stomach, just the esophagus. The manual muscle control is a bit difficult, but since basically ALL my burps are/were manual, I found that method to be the easiest :)
Looking for tips how to inhale more air. Is it just practice? I found when I do inhale burps back to back they get longer but I can’t get that type of inhale my first attempt. I included a gulping burp at the end, my goal is to get better with inhaling than gulping Vocaroo | Online voice recorder
It sounds like you’re very close. Try leaning forward and focus on really pulling your stomach in.
i wanna burp with you hehe
I think I’m gonna try to do more inhales with the tongue roof trick. Maybe mix up gulping and inhaling. Anyone got any good results mixing the two techniques?
There’s little bones that line your throat, if I’m honest inhaling air makes an odd sound kind of like a burp. Try thinking about forcing a burp out then when your throat is open inhale but not too hard just gently. It’ll open up the pathway to your stomach because it was trying to let air out and now it’s coming in! Hope this helps
When I learned I had to “close” my throat and then try to breathe in, which in turn would push the air right into my stomach. It still amazes me that people could just inherently know to do this. Took me a while to get.
Old but gold
Gulping air for a bit can actually “loosen” things in the mouth/espphagus, making it easier to inhale. Best way for me to describe it, though I wouldn’t know how things are affected anatomically.
Sipping on water or other drink also helps as a lubricant.
Leaning forward with your hands on your upper thighs, but with your head high and back arched, can put the abdomen/stomach in a better position to allow air in. You don’t just inhale with the lungs and mouth. You also relax the abdomen and stomach to allow the air to flow freely into it.
Experimenting with your head turned a bit left or right to twist your throat also helps move things into position for better air flow.
Check out this dude. Great reference to study his head, neck and body movements.
