There are currently (to my knowledge) two tools available in the forums.
SoundReader (free) - Made a utility to timestamp audio automatically
This is the one that I use. It’s a command line based tool where you basically download the video (or its audio, preferrably, since it’s a smaller file), run a simple script with the video you want it to analyze and let it run. All the setup is in the page and the creator was sweet enough to screen-record themselves installing it so I basically followed what he did.
This one was designed for burping, but you can use it for farting too. You just have to include “–focus_idx 60” in your query. I can’t speak much for this command but the tool is basically comparing the audio to an audio database with multiple different sounds, and 60 is the code for farting. Then, it will list all potential matches as timestamps, and you just have to check if they are indeed a fart. I also use command “–batch_size 1920000” because this will make the video look for videos minute-by-minute, instead of every 5 minutes or so. One thing to bear in mind is that, depending on the video size (a sleep stream for example), this will lag your computer. So, if you’re using it for a video like that, let the tool run and don’t interact with the computer until it’s finished.
Videoscan (paid) - Videoscan.net - automatically find burps in videos
This one is a great tool because it does all the hardwork for you, but I believe it only looks for burping (not sure, haven’t used it since it became paid for). You let the video load and then it renders a video that you play and it will show you all moments it identified a sound that it understood as a burp.
I find them INCREDIBLY useful tools and, although they’re not always right, they have helped me find SO much content, specially when YouTube comments and transcripts don’t do the trick
