I was listening to a podcast from two guys and after a weird chat about their bowel habits, the fart fetish was mentioned in a humorous way. I then reached out to the podcast and the creator said quote “Who knows!!! Certainly no one has ever approached us to say “that thing you do is part of a fetish of mine” etc…
… But if there are folks who get something from listening to us, then fine, i guess! We do what we do and others do what they do! To each their own.”
This got me thinking about if any media will highlight a fetish for whatever purpose without intending to cater to it. (for those who care, the podcast is called Cheapshow and the episode is episode 25: Attack of the life hacks)
