I was curious about how you guys perceive the action of paying to satisfy your fetish.
How much do you think a video is worth? How do you decide if it’s worth the money or not? What was the biggest amount of money you spent for a video / for a subscription? Why?
I’m very curious about the other side of the transaction and what motivate someone to pay for their porn (knowing there’s a lot of free porn).

Horniness and overindulging is what motivates one to buy porn imo. If one does not desensitize him or herself by watching too much porn to the point where you’ve gotten bored, then there is no need to pay for extras. I will not buy porn because my money is better off in other places and I’m not far down the rabbithole to need more than what is already there. I think of it this way. I can buy 5 vids for $125 or I can go out for dinner with friends or a girl if I save that $125.

For me personally i have go with for a custom to fully satisfy my fetishes because I’m a perfectionist when it comes to that ( What you gotta wear, what you gotta say, how you’re gonna say it… etc). So I have to save up to make sure that the custom is well done. The video length is very important to me because I wanna make sure that every detail is on point so a 10 min burping video or even 15 min isn’t enough to me honestly. The problem would be the price, obviously a 5 or 8 min video would be a lot cheaper than a 20 min video. If the model allows me to discuss the price then it’s good. Last time I had to pay a lot for a custom was one from RileyJane (150$)… it got shared everywhere unfortunately and one from SweetMaria (200$) which I regret because she missed a few things to do in the video. I decide if it’s worth the money based on how the model interacts with their clients, the previews and the reviews from people that bought videos from the model.

Paid material has been an important category in my library even when I worked part time, and bought infrequently. There are factors (nudity) and themes (gfe) that hobbyists can’t or won’t publish to the (ad) subsidized hosts. Sure, ph had its barter culture, and that was nice while I budgeted less for entertainment. But ph has a stake through its heart, and I bought from c4s even before I was aware of ph.
Then, as now, the motivation is the same: to preserve while I can. Performers and hobbyists get bored, or isolated, or their life circumstances change such that publishing isn’t a viable option any more. So, on the one hand, I have an impulse to get while the getting is good. And, on the other hand, I’m obliged to temper that, so I can check out new gals, to replace those that have gone or are on hiatus. You know, I can look in hindsight and see that I should have invested more often in Sadeineed’s videos, but then I might have fewer Lizzie Rose or Farrah Banks videos, and I’d rue that instead.
The most I’ve spent on a single video isn’t interesting. But, in thinking in that vein led to spending the most at once. A__________ announced her retirement. Her videos were expensively priced, so I only bought one a month. This time, I decided to buy basically the rest of what I planned to buy during the year, ten videos. I felt a little disappointed when she sent a message a month later offering one last chance before she deleted everything. But, I was able to confidently, politely say that I had cleaned her out. and wish her well, of course.
It’s probably important to draw a distinction between how much I am willing to pay for a video from how much I think it is worth (after experiencing it). I mean, sometimes there is just a description. If it’s someone who is a known quantity, that can be enough. I even buy videos I am not interested in, like M__________'s blackmail video. As I’ve mentioned above, that’s to continue to encourage her, after I’ve gotten most of what’s interesting in her catalog. On the other hand, I actively resist buying V_____'s interview video, when I remember it, because - despite the evocative description - I know she can’t deliver on that promise, which the trailer bears out.
Despite my habit, I definitely see value in Don2’s style. In a similar vein, I don’t buy ice cream for myself. If I had some, I’d eat it. But, having none, and satisfying the underlying need in other ways, I find that I don’t miss it.

I’ve paid for a couple of things, but it’s rare to find something that I’d consider worth paying for since most of the time videos seem too generic, uninspired, or fake. I think that would mostly be your answer, that the small niche categories are the ones that still make money. Regular porn of 2 people having sex, as far as I’ve heard, those studios have really suffered since youtube-like streaming became a thing.
I do not pay money to watch videos of any females burping. Period.
Why do you all consider videos of females burping to be porn? Just because a video is satisfying a fetish doesn’t make the video porn.
I think that money is often an issue. Personally, I feel bad because I don’t buy my porn for this reason. I know it’s different for everybody, and I don’t shame people who don’t pay for it. It’s ok to just enjoy free stuff once in a while!

Everybody has their way to see it, and yours is valid. As long as people don’t steal content that was supposed to be paid for and watch it for free, I don’t see the issue in that. I totally agree with your point, but to nuance it, I think that encouraging your favorite model can be very beneficial for their motivation, therefore for the quality of their content.

I didn’t accuse anyone of anything. It’s ok not to pay for porn. As I said, what’s wrong about it is people stealing and sharing videos that were meant to be paid for. And encouraging your favorite actresses may help them a lot, but you can do that only by watching their videos on, for example, pornhub, where they receive a sum of money per view, and that’s perfectly ok. Just don’t steal content ahah
I think that your point of view is very interesting. A fetish is inherently linked with your sexuality. If you are aroused by videos of people having sex (“regular porn”), you consider it porn, and you jerk off on it. Therefore, if you are, for example, asexual, you won’t consider it porn, since it won’t arouse you. On the other end, if you watch woman burping and it arouses you to the point that you feel a need to masturbate, how could you not consider it porn? I’m very curious about what you consider porn or not. What are the criteria for you to name a video “pornographic”?
Porn is anything that is satisfying to a fetish or fantasy lmao. Food porn is a thing too. ASMR is a audial porn.

The problem is that that is inevitable. Things leak. And honestly, sometimes u just gotta accept and move on with your day and be happy that u made money off of it in the first place. Welcome to the real world honey, where not all business is 100% foolproof and honest. I mean, someone literally stole the spare tire off my new truck that I’ve had for two days yesterday. Life ain’t always sunshine.
Don’t worry I already know that, again, just giving my opinion. No need to infantilize me. People in general don’t care about the models / pornstar they are watching and often think and talk about them like they were trash. I’m just trying to nuance the conversation and bring some new perspectives about respecting the content creators, but I know that everyone dont think the same way as I do and wont treat sexwork as a real job / living. Our content is our way to pay our bills. Just accepting that people do fraud and that some girl won’t be able to pay her rent this month because a stupid man decided that she wasn’t worth the price is very sad and frustrating to me.

I understand that your young. But it wyd be in ur best interest to not be pessimistic or generalize that people see pornstars as trash etc. And also try not to take things as attacks. U r defending yourself but no one is attacking u. Also keep in mind that there are jobs out there that can pay your bills. I do however understand I’m these times that it is hard. 
I am not defending myself, I’m discussing my points because that’s what a forum is meant for. I love knowing other people’s opinion and it’s by arguing that you reinforce your point or tend to another point of view. Also, I don’t think I am pessimistic, but more realistic. Women are treated like trash in our society, it’s a fact, but it’s even truer for sexworkers who simply doesn’t deserve respect in the opinion of a lot of men. As a matter of fact, I don’t consider watching videos of girls under 18 burping to be “bad”, negative or in bad taste, in any way.
By the standard you are describing, I should consider anything that sexually arouses me to be porn. That would include pictures and videos of underage girls in bikinis and other sexy clothing, too.
