I constantly hear very viable explanations on this site as to why people have the fetish. But for me, it was never too obvious, the reason i delved into videos of women burping, is because when girls burped in media, it gave me a strange feeling, i didnt know what that feeling was then, but now i know i felt horny. But that isn’t an genuine explanation or reason as to why i have the fetish, using that logic, it just means i’ve always had the fetish for no particular reason. Or maybe I can’t remember why. But another possible explanation struck me. When I was VERY young like around 6, i had really bad acid reflux. Let’s make it clear, no burping or anything. Just vomiting really easy and an extreme gag reflex. Now if i can remember correctly i was given some sort of medicine to deal with it, like perscripted medicine so not some like typical drug store shit. Eventually the acid reflux just went away. EVER SINCE THEN, I have never burped. It’s literally impossible for me to burp, I could swallow air all day or chug 20 sodas and I’d just be left with stomach pain. I’m being kinda figurative here bc i have burped like 4 times in the past decade, maybe a little more. And whenever that happened, i felt amazing. Of course they were very very very small like not even a fraction of a second and not audible at all, only i could hear them. I wish i could burp but its just not possible for me to. I’ve heard other people are like me and cant burp at all, so they got surgery and now they can burp fine, obviously i wouldnt want that… maybe. Do you guys think this could be a possible explanation as to why I have the fetish??
Interesting you say that. When I was younger I had some experiences of people around me being able to burp on command and I could never do it, and I was really jealous. Now I can burp fine and on command. But yes, I do see your point about an apparent jealousy. Personally I also see it as some type of hierarchy if girls can burp or not, or how well they can.
You might want to see a doctor about that because it could actually be an issue. One guy I dated was not able to burp seemingly ever and I thought he was just making it up bc he thought my fetish was gross but it turns out he had developed an esophageal stricture that prohibited anything from actually coming up his esophagus fully and he had to have a chunk of food removed in the emergency room after it got stuck and he couldn’t get it out. He has a history of acid reflux and the esophagus walls can get weakened over time from continuous damage with acid and the scar tissue that sometimes appears as a result is not as flexible as what is necessary for proper esophageal function. There is a non-surgical procedure that doctors can do where they widen the pinched part of the esophagus to fix it but he hasn’t had that done yet bc he doesn’t have good health insurance. So you might want to get checked out bc when he got a hunk of steak stuck in his throat, he was able to vomit to try to dislodge it and yet it stayed put with the vomit moving around it. So you might end up having an emergency like that if you do have an esophageal stricture and if that is the case you might want to go ahead and have it fixed non-surgically to avoid any extra pain and medical bills that would incur as a result of an emergency like that. When they removed the food that was stuck, they did NOT fix the pinched part of his esophagus.
So you might want to see your doctor about this concern just to check to make sure you don’t have an esophageal stricture because if you do, fixing it now before having an expensive and scary emergency would be best. Plus if that is the cause of your inability to belch, fixing it should also allow air to come up properly too. Sorry for the paragraph, I’m a med student so I just had to pause my masturbation mission and share this real quick lol. If you don’t have any esophageal malfunction then your belching issue probably just originates from the sphincter that connects your esophagus to your stomach. Either way, you should bring it up with your doctor to find out.
I hope you mean “I cant audibly burp”, otherwise your gastrointestinal system might be fucked. Burping “IS”, necessary.

Oh if i EVER burp its for like 0.00001 seconds and u couldn’t hear it in a completely silent room, and that happens VERY VERY RARELY like not even every 3 months. I’ve never had any pain from this, just discomfort, or unsatisfaction because it feels like I really need to burp but i just cant. Then in a few hours or the next day it just passes until I eat again.
It’s possible inability to burp contributes to this fetish for some people, I too cannot burp and have always pondered this. But then there are also people in the fetish who can burp and even turn themselves on with their own burps, I only wish I could do such things.
I think we are mostly probably just born with this fetish, either that or something very early in childhood could set it off. Who knows, not much research has been done in this feild obviously, we are one of the rarer fetishes.
From what I’ve observed on here I think a factor is just over-exposure at a young age…practically normalizing and perhaps romanticizing the act in some cases. A lot on here, myself included, grew up with moms and/or sisters that would burp a lot.

The more I think about this kink the more I am convinced it is to do with openness for me. Emotional openness and pride related to not caring about how other people react and just doing what you wanna do.
Growing up I was deficient in being able to openly be me emotionally, and I think this kink is almost a representation for that obsession. It’s translated into this format and that now represents to me full openness.
