What is the ethics behind keeping videos?

for context I have three burping videos that I purchased from someone but they then deleted the videos from their onlyfans but I still own them. would it be ethically right to keep or download them?

It’s not something unusual for a page/store to close. Do you expect the people who frequent a lot of stores to delete dozens of videos and keep track of stores that close everytime they decide which videos they want to watch?

People who act logically and don’t throw their money down the drain aren’t being unethical. These videos aren’t for rent.

Edit: I’m not saying there can’t be specific situations where this won’t be the case. I’m sure you’ll be able to find exceptions if you look hard enough. My reply was about how it is most of the time.

I think that when you buy something it should be yours to use and consume however and whenever you so please as long as you are within legal bounds. Like games for example, if I buy a copy of a game, I should be allowed to play it however I want even through emulation or on a toaster

Nothing wrong with keeping them, but you shouldn’t share the videos.

Agreeing as a creator, I don’t mind if someone has my old content as long as it stays with them - as I expect all my content to stay exclusive to the buyer or subscriber viewing it

Keeping content to yourself is generally fine. Sharing is always when there is an issue. I feel this way about anything too. Like video game mods. You’re not supposed to modify and distribute content, but if I mess with something and keep it strictly to myself and don’t even share pictures of it, there’s nothing morally wrong with that.
