I posted a story just now (Payback’s a Gas) and the post inexplicably does this thing where it formats a couple sections in a block like below. I already tried to edit my post. I see that “Preformatted text” is on in those sections. I turned it off and saved the edits. However, even after I do that, it goes back to this. It’s really weird and I’m blanking out on what to do.

It seems that if you put 4 spaces in front of a line, the software interprets it as a quote
Hm. So I got it to work now, although I didn’t have 4 spaces in front of a line.
I fiddled around more with it and instead of toggling the preformatting button, I backspaced once in front of the first word of the block quote and it went back to normal and saved the change. So like, in the screenshot example I posted, I went all the way up to “She thought” and put the cursor in front of the “S” and pressed backspace once and it went back to normal.
EDIT: I should also specify that I was copying and pasting from a Word document. I suspect that might have something to do with it, although what exactly is not entirely clear. Everything in my Word document is consistently formatted.
My guess is that the spaces have some different format in the word document, but then changes the formatting when it’s pasted here.
