Our community gets a majority of content from YouTube. So what should we do if we want to know if a channel has burps?
This website is a useful tool for searching. Just look for a video or channel and use the simple search term “burp”. It picks up all forms and suffixes; even some instances of “belch”, though if you need to make sure you didn’t miss anything, you can use that in your search too.
On channels that usually get a good amount of comments, people that complain, commend, or even, well…just comment on burps in a video will usually appear. If they timestamp or mention a specific part of the video, it’s easy as pie to find. If not, you might have to do some more digging, either by sifting through the transcript of the video or watching it all the way through.
On extremely large channels, it may be hard to find comments that mention burps since there are so many viewers that they may make comments that are irrelevant to the video entirely, for even pick up certain usernames that had “burp” in them.
On the other hand, it’s very unlikely that a very small channel will turn up a lot of results, if any at all. You can still try, but just a head’s up. It’s also important to note that since unlisted privated videos won’t turn up comment results.
The search function is a bit odd; if you can’t find a channel or video just by the name, try using a direct link. Most of the time, this will get you to where you need to go, but sometimes in the case of small channels, multiple channels owned by one creator(s), or those with similar names/content, you won’t. It’s mostly trial and error though, and you’ll get the hang of it in time. Occasionally, the website will go act wonky for a while and it’s hard to search, either nothing comes up at all or you have to retry a ridiculous amount of times to get it to work. It’ll be back to normal eventually, though.
