2025, The New Golden Age For The Fetish

There seems to be a lot of talk on here lately about how the burp fetish scene is declining compared to the golden age of 09-15. I remember those days fondly, though I was much younger then. It seemed there was a virtually endless amount of homemade content. TikTok brought that back somewhat, but I guess that’s ending. So how do we bring about a new golden age?

I have a few ideas. These are just things I’ve been thinking about lately, more so as a ponderance.

1: Become Less Insular. Hardly anyone not in this community even knows about the burp fetish. Something I’ve realized about the fart community is that it grows and grows, because there’s an easy “lead-in”. Like ass? You might like farts, too. I wonder if we could find a sort of lead in that would bring new attention to the kink.

2: Less Guilt Complex. It seems like, in comparison to other kink communities, we spend a LOT of time moralizing. Not about the things that matter, but worrying about “creeps”, and desperately trying to separate ourselves from them. I understand this, and I used to agree, but… people are gonna comment what they comment online. The fart/sneeze/twerk/pajama pants communities don’t worry about this so much. We’re only responsible for what WE do, not what others may choose to do. If we’re going to avoid everything because someone might do something wrong of their own accord, the forum couldn’t even really exist outside of fictional stories.

As someone who actually has it, and is now medicated, it feels VERY reminiscent to scrupulosity OCD and I really do think there might be a connection there. Just a thought.

3: More Homegrown Content. We have some really talented people here. I’m a pretty big farter, and I’ve recently started burping as well, and I sometimes send them. I’m debating posting some publically, because it’s pretty fun! I think we could bring back the old “amateur” feel if we were more open about ourselves.

4: Community Feel. This is a BIG one, and the most important by far. I’ve made a few friends here, and they genuinely FEEL like friends. Something I think this place could use a bit more of is a sense of true community, rather than just coming to consume content.

Looking at some other fetish forums, they have threads about things not even related to the fetish at all in their own section, so people can get to know each other. People help each other out finding clips and making edits, etc.

This is mostly rambling, and is somewhat meta, so I understand if this doesn’t sound too interesting, but like I said, it’s something I’ve been thinking about lately, especially with TikTok on the chopping block.

Oh, and as a bonus, getting the one or two notorious forum trolls to knock it off :joy:

1: Become Less Insular.

I think we’ll always be niche, and that’s fine. It’s just how many people in the world happen to have this fetish.

2: Less Guilt Complex.

Yeah, the moralising is getting a bit annoying. I was wondering if it was part of an overall societal trend where moralising about sexuality is (once again) gaining popularity. We should all be good to each other, but a lot of that stuff sounds more like some kind of religious moral policing rather than anything that would have any practical effect. What bothers me is that there’s often an undertone of ‘sexuality = bad and we must resist temptation’ which is just the same old conservative religious stuff that people have been using to control each other for centuries.

3: More Homegrown Content.

I’m all for that, though I guess that would be mostly on the male side. For whatever reason this isn’t a very popular fetish with women, unfortunately.

4: Community Feel.

I’ve been wondering about what other things we can do here as a group. A lot of sites have stuff like a Minecraft server. I haven’t played Minecraft in forever, but it would be fairly trivial to set one up if there’s any demand. There are still MMORPG style games around too. I used to play EVE a long time ago, which is a game that’s centred around having small groups of players working together. Some random guy’s space freighter getting blown up by the Burp Corp pirate band would be pretty funny. There are MOBAs and shooters and so on too that we could play. Other than games, we could watch films together or etc, I’m open to any suggestions and would be happy to set up any technical side of it if needed.

I would say,… we have kind of entered a new type of Golden Age, though others may not be as pleased with it.

Paid Content is incredible nowadays. You can find extremely talented men/women that will burp for you if you pay them. Some of these men and women are better than anything you would have found on youtube or TikTok. And they will offer shows of their incredible burps for as long as you have the ability to pay them.
You didn’t have that circa 09-15.

We can increase this pool by advertising the fetish, making sure models and other people that are doing sex content know that we exist.

What is the golden age of a fetish? Everything is great but weird. The fetish feels like a spectrum due to all the genres of fetish material and the people who are into this shit. Everything has changed but you can say that about anything.

You’re very right on that. I’ve actually bought several clips this year, which isn’t something I would have done before. Fart content on Pornhub has also gotten REALLY good, once again, not the way it was before.

That last bit would unironically be really funny, just “oh fuck, it’s the burp fetishists” in a MOBA or something :joy: and yeah, a lot of those ideas sound really interesting! I think even the thread rn where we’re discussing jobs is a nice way for us to bond as a community.

And yeah, the moralizing thing is unfortunately very popular with my generation. Gen Z are the new puritans in a lot of ways.

May I ask what you mean by “New Puritans”?

I mean they’re incredibly annoying and are obsessed with policing everyone’s behavior all the time.

That’s what Murdoch’s media keeps telling us with words like “cancel culture and woke” I think that Gen Z are the forward thinkers that are important for the future of tomorrow. Most of Gen Z are the future of the fetish as they can both buy and create new fetish content. I think the past generations are prudish and are the reason that most things are still seen taboo, forged in the fire of “manners” or some bullshit.

Manners are something people here could use more of. Not quite what I’m talking about. Also, not really a political discussion here, more so about online conduct.

I get what you mean but they mean well

I don’t think they do. I think they’re just miserable and want everyone else to be miserable too :joy: it’s why they can’t keep it to themselves. I’ve been around these people my whole life, I know how they work

The internet is a place to express themselves. May I ask if you are Gen Z?

I am. That’s why I know annoying most of us are

All humans are annoying in certain ways. Our generation might just be more annoying that others. We grew up surrounded by the internet so it might be that

I’ve never even had the fart fetish. But there have been some onlyfans farters that are so incredible I ended up getting a little aroused. Shocking.

Yeah the fart fetish has some really solid talent, probably in thanks to its bigger audience. It’s also easier to get into I think, because of the inherent lead-in

I’ve always found that homemade content is just easier and better anyway. I gather my own content to enjoy, and it’s from people I know and so they don’t get creeped out because they don’t know about it. It’s a win win

Who are good paid content creators? Can you imagine if the guy from Nick and Mark did paid content?

Completely agree with everything you said, Q.

I don’t think we need to become less insular, but we do need to become more cohesive as a community. As we have grown we have become less cohesive and more diverse. More differing opinions and views mean more potential for people to disagree. But I do not understand why some people would rather immediately start an argument than actually attempt to understand the other person’s viewpoint at all.

Did we not found this community on the basis of open discussion, acceptance and sharing of differing view points? This is supposed to be a place for people to feel safe and comfortable, not for arguments over every small comment and thing they disagree with. It’s tiresome. Either learn to accept differing opinions with grace or ignore them, the choice is really quite simple. I feel like lately people just lack respect for others and have some sort of idea in their heads that because this is the internet, respect is optional. I don’t want to blame the younger generations but it has clearly gotten worse over the years.

On a side note I believe we need to somehow promote general discussion more on the forum. We had so many great discussions about the fetish on the older forum, and even on this one, but the pace of interesting discussion has really slowed. The forum is now heavily dominated by media content, which is completely fine and expected, but it would be nice to bring back the more in-depth discussions, the stuff that isn’t just related to posting or discussing media content.

I will probably be derided for that opinion as I suspect a vast majority of people only see this as a place to find videos. And in that sense, we are actually living in the golden age of burping right now. We have never had this much free and paid burping content at our fingertips, anyone who doesn’t see that as a golden age clearly must be young because I remember downloading YouTube videos on dial-up internet and actually burning audio-only files of burping onto CDs so I could play them in my walkman, sometimes we went entire weeks with no new content! The media and content side of the burping fetish is definitely not in decline or the issue, if there is one thing we know how to do well it is catalogue and share burping media content, that is not going to change anytime soon. I think the one thing we can all 100% agree on is, more burping content is a great thing.

But to me, that is not the true gem of this community; it is the knowledge and viewpoint sharing about the fetish; burping videos are a dime a dozen these days, literally all over the internet for free. What isn’t easily available is actual first-hand information and discussion about the fetish from people actually living with the fetish. And yes, many topics have been discussed already over the years, but there’s no reason why we can’t discuss them again.

I truly believe that if more people participated in that side of the forum, we would see a natural increase in understanding of each other, more of a community feel, and perhaps even find people to be friends with on here. Maybe we ought to look back on some popular discussion threads from the distant past and attempt to start conversations about them again in new topics.

Also on another note, I never knew you were an Eve player Q! I have played Eve on and off since 2005, on a break at the moment but intend to go back again at some point. Have been a member of Goonswarm and living out in nullsec for a few years now, great game but becomes like a second job once you get right into it
