So I was on FetLife and noticed how they are always hosting events all over the country for different kinks and fetishes.
It made me wonder, can we get one for the burp fetish community? I think we may be too small but maybe we can open it up to other fetishes that tend to overlap with ours?

I still say doing something online like a chat would be the simplest way to get started. Maybe we invite someone like beargrowlr and people give money.
I have learned to appreciate the fact that the burp kink is multifaceted. I have come to believe that very few of us have much in common at all, because our tastes differ greatly. For example, people who prefer natural burps may find on command burping silly or unappealing. A convention would have to address all the subkinks so nobody is excluded or alienated. It’s discouraging.
I think there are just too few of us. BDSM etc is relatively common so there are always going to be a bunch of people into it living in the same city. I think most of us would have to travel for hours just to find one other person with this fetish.
I have found there are a fair few people in my immediate area with this fetish thanks to the personals section, but they have absolutely zero interest in giving anything in return, or are strictly looking to hook up (use the apps for that…) so I doubt a convention would be very productive.
I like the idea! I do sorta see the issue with there being some people who don’t want to contribute but tbh as long as there are a few key activities or speakers I think it could still be fun!
The main concern that I have though is where we would host it? Since the fetish is rooted in something that is generally loud and perceived as rude I feel like it would be hard to find a place where the venue would be ok with it. The first one might not be that big so a convention center would be a lot and I feel like having it outside would invite too much attention.
I think our best bet would be for someone in the community that owns a private space or a bar and we host it there so everyone there including potentially the people working would be ok with it.
Also, I think if this were to happen we would need to be ok with there being both men and women at this event, we plan two separate events, or make clear the purpose of the event being for a specific group of people. It would suck to exclude women in the community who are also interested but I can also see a lot of men not loving being in the same space as burping women. That is an issue im not sure how to remedy.
Overall tho im sure we could get some individuals to come together and try to plan something! Someone mentioned before but we should get some kind of group chat going where we can start talking about ideas!
