Do you feel that way too? I know about people that struggle because of their super niche or really unusual fetishes because of the lack of internet content that can satisfy said fetish. Like, for example you don’t find many mechanophilia content online. But for those of us that can get aroused by hearing and watching people burping, I guess we have it really easy when it comes to satisfy our urges online. There are a ton of burps in movies, tv shows, streaming platforms like YouTube, social media… among others. So what do you think? Do you agree that we are indeed lucky for we can get aroused by one of the simplest bodily functions that can take place even in public?

Granted its not the easiest one to talk about in new relationships and other areas, but i feel it could be waayyyy worse.
Some ive heard its like a curse to them, but i like to believe im lucky not to have some sort of illegal fetish: rape, pedo, etc.
The older i get, the more i agree with being comfortable and true to yourself, the less you have to search for happiness. For me that includes considering we are lucky with this, i know it is more of a burden for some.

I was guessing so, seems statistically possible for how many people commit the crime some would really enjoy it.
I’d also have to assume their would be fantasy fetish videos out there for it, I feel there has got to be a fetish for all different things in the imagination.
I haven’t looked into it so don’t quote me on that lol, seems like a sketchy thing to google

Speaking for myself, I feel very alone in having this fetish. This forum exists, obviously, but I think meeting any other people IRL with the same fetish is extremely unlikely. However, like @doorajar… As I get older I have gotten a lot more perspective. I’m grateful I don’t have some fetish that’s truly horrible, like necrophilia. The burping fetish itself is harmless, and content is abundant despite how uncommon the fetish seems to be–I’ve never seen the fetish discussed in such detail anywhere else on the internet, at least.
I think the fact that it’s not discussed anywhere else online may be why I was under the impression for so long that it was weird. Case and point, in my opinion something like BDSM is much “weirder” but the difference is there’s much more public awareness of it.
For example, suppose your partner revealed they were into BDSM. It probably wouldn’t be as shocking as if they were, say, very sexually turned on by clowns, and they regularly browsed a forum about the clown fetish which went extremely in depth about various types of clowns, clowns spotted in popular culture/media, and generally how big of a turnon they were.
Now, assuming you didn’t have a clown fetish yourself, it was probably kinda strange reading about that right? My point exactly. The thing is, the general public (in my country at least) treats burping as funny and/or rude. It’s not that the fetish itself is super kinky per se, it’s that it’s uncommon and I don’t think most people would suspect it to be such a turn on for those of us who have it.
You’re absolutely right though, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Watching twitch and suddenly hearing the streamer casually let out a huge belch is the greatest thing ever.
Very grateful to have this forum too, not only because it’s a hub for great content but it reinforces the fact that I am very much not alone!

I mean, it kind of turns something that you would otherwise deem disgusting, annoying or mildly funny into something more exciting so I guess?
I think it can be embarassing if shared with folks you wouldn’t want to know about it, but unless it’s an obsession for you, it really does no harm either.
Personally, I like that I have it. It’s kind of like when I first realized I liked men and was kind of in denial about it. Then I accepted it. Then I couldn’t imagine life being any other way nor would I ever choose to be straight. It’s kind of like that if I’m honest. It just kind of makes things that bit more interesting too.

I agree with all the positive additions to this post… I luckily have a couple very opened minded friends who really didn’t care too much that I was into it, and telling them was very cathartic. I still get embarrassed thinking about how they know, but our relationship hasn’t changed at all.
I actually like being into burps, just because I can be in public or at school and someone can burp around me and provide me with some “entertainment” (??? lol). It’s also just fun to me to have something that can turn me on so easily, but thats just me.

Yep my point was that, I feel most people would either understand or just wouldn’t be bothered if they found out about our kink, of course most people would think we are weird but I would rather say “Honey I am turned on by your burps than, honey it arouses me when you step on my balls while using a leather suit” (Not judging those that are into BDSM)
Though… in my case, if my partner asked me to burp for him I would rather do the BDSM stuff (I hate to burp and fart, and if I have to, I do it as silently as possible.)

I think you really hit on something though. I don’t believe that if you just told your partner that you’re turned on by burps it would be a big deal. It’s the forum browsing and massive Youtube/Twitch/Pornhub video collections that make it kind of weird.
I think it makes life more interesting too. It makes me sad when people feel ashamed or stressed out by this fetish. It doesn’t harm anyone.
@GustyTraveler rape fetishes are very common. They’re mostly done with some planning though, with a safeword and so on.

As fetishes go, I think burping is a great one to have.
There are a few cons of course, like hearing people burp around you whos burps make you uncomfortable (family, friends, etc), or getting turned on because it happens around you in public.
And yes it might seem a bit awkward and weird to bring up with a potential partner.
But on that second point, bringing up the topic of any fetish with someone in real life can be hugely awkward and weird! I think its very easy to forget that, while our fetish is quite rare (and mostly unheard of in the wider community), it is an extremely harmless fetish compared to the more well-known and popular out there.
Take for example fetishes like BDSM or watersports or leather or feet…burping is so tame in comparison!
Yes, some people may be grossed out if you mentioned it to them, but if they are grossed out by the idea of burps turning you on, then they are just as likely to be grossed out by any fetish that could be suggested to them.
There are some people out there (a great many perhaps) who are very vanilla and fetishes don’t appeal to them at all, which is totally fine of course. Everyone is different and likes what they like.
My point is, burping is an extremely tame and slight fetish to have compared to others. So I would totally agree with the original poster, we are lucky to have this little fetish of ours

Not to get too off-topic here, and while its not something that I myself find appealing, I think a rape fetish is more like a form of role-play. In the same way that some people are turned on by various forms of humiliation. I don’t have any experience with it, but I imagine its something thats done by two consenting adults, each just playing their respective roles.
I’m not judging those who like that, nor am I trying to persuade anyone who doesn’t. Just trying to clarify as best I can.
Like I said in my previous post, I think our little burp fetish really is such a mild and harmless type of fetish, in comparison to most.
