I honestly don’t know what kickstarted my fetish but I have memories of getting turned on by girls burping that go as far back as first grade(maybe kindergarten). It may have come from cartoons and other tv shows but I can’t really confirm. It’s something I always have had. No clue, probably originated with cartoons, but during puberty I starting finding the male body more attractive and really had a thing for big adam’s apples, thick necks and gulping sounds. And I always felt something weird when guys would burp. It went from disgusting to… kind of hot. I guess it helped lead me to the burping fetish I realized I had at 12.

For me it definitely started in middle school, when i became sexually aware. all of the girls would burp in my class for fun and i think all that got combined with being into them. back then i was into anything and everything guyish that they would do like farting and being sweaty and stuff. that said, i went out of my way to avoid guys burping around me as much as possible (now i know it did turn me on, but i really didnt want to as a kid - toxic env at home). honestly, im pretty sure that i just had a whole lot of sexual energy between the guys and the girls and it wound up sticking with burping out of those options. no doubt id have some other random fetish had things played out differently

I’m not sure if I know exactly what started. I think it was probably cartoons, though none specifically come to mind. I do remember I would always “practice” burping when I was home alone like someone said, because I wanted to be good but also got in trouble when my parents heard me.
I think what really made me think about it was when I was younger, our science museum had an exhibit called “Grossology” and the channel I watched as a kid had an commercial that would run where the female host walks in and belches, interrupting whatever the male host was saying. Then kept belching throughout the ad.
The instant I knew though I was in middle school and my best friend who always hosted the sleepovers for our friend group had this super hot older sister who was a high school cheerleader and an amazing belcher. I’m not sure if at this point I’m making her a better burper than she was, but for a long time (and even when I started looking up vids on YT), I felt like she was better than most of the people out there.

I blame MTV…they had so many shows that featured burping, and then the Nickelodeon channel started showing burpers doing their best.

I was in kindergarten and just sitting on the floor. There was a little boy that I had a crush on (I’m a girl.) I heard him burp just like a little one and his friends laughed. Then I went through a phase where I thought burping was gross, idk why. Well one day when I was 15 I was watching a YouTube video it was kinda of like a short funny home video don’t even remember it but when it ended there was a recommended video on the screen called burp scares baby. For me, it started with the fact that as a kid, I could never burp, probably had the Retrograde Cricopharyngeal Dysfunction thing thats more prominent now. So growing up, I couldn’t do the masculine thing of burping or participating in burp contests.
This seemed to be combined with the fact that I was surrounded, for most of my early life, by girls who could burp well (a girl in my class all of first school, a sister of one of my close mates growing up, numerous things on TV like nickelodeon, or Fearne Cotton on UK kids TV) or even better, being able to burp on command (girl next door, another older sister of a close mate, a couple of girls throughout school) who loved to flaunt it. I can remember being over my mates house and there were a couple of us boys in my mates room, we had fizzy drinks and a burp contest started. I couldn’t burp, so was sat out watching. His older sister came in, called us all losers for needing fizzy drinks to burp, realised I couldn’t even do it with soda, so pinned me down on the floor and burped repeatedly in my face. She completely embarrassed me and I was so jealous that she was “better at being a guy than me”.
Follow this on with the progression of the Internet at the same time as puberty hitting, and the likes of burp.com, and then YouTube. I so desperately wanted to do what these girls could do, so they wouldn’t put me to shame. I started copying some of the girls who could burp on command, while realising the jealousy was turning into sexualised feelings.
After a long time of trying to copy them, I finally learned to burp on command myself and master the thing that has become a fetish for me. I’ve never looked back.

I heard another kid burp during elementary school and asked him to teach me how. I practiced a lot that evening and was hooked quick realizing how fun it was.
The fetish didn’t kick in until many years later between middle and high school when I heard other guys let out some amazing belches and marveled at their skill. It made me want to practice even more. A lot of the excitement came from being able to appreciate the talent in others from the perspective of a fellow belcher.
